WHAT IS THE BIG FUSS ABOUT MICRONEEDING?!

If this post sounds like I'm a little too over-joyed... it's probably because I am. OH. MY. WORD. Whoever invented Microneedling, I want to kiss every single day. There are so many reasons to use microneedling as one of your steps in your skincare routine!

  • Acne Scars
  • Fine Lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Plumps skin and lips (umm what?)

You are probably wondering "how in the world does this work, and what is it doing to your skin that makes it look flawless?" Hold on there, kiddo- I'm typing as fast as I can to get you those answers.

There are tiny little microneedles that are in a roller. They come in various sizes, which you MUST get one that is FDA approved and does not hurt, or make your skin bleed. The needles repeatedly puncture your skin which sends signals through your body to send collagen. Another purpose of microneedling is the absorption of skincare products. I recommend using a hydration serum or a night time renewing serum with lots of peptides!

There are certain ways to use your roller. You should roll it vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. For no more than two-minutes, you can use this little baby up to 4 times a week. Also, with the right corrective serums, microneedling is an effective, powerful way to prevent aging process and give a youthful glow!

Here are some before and after pictures that will blow your mind!!

Crazy Huh?? So here is the difference between Rodan and Fields' Microneedling Device vs. Others. I'm sure if you have heard about microneeding, you have heard of Derma Roller. First of all, I want to make sure you all know, Derma Roller is NOT FDA APPROVED! This can cause you to have issues with your skin or hurt your skin. Here is an article that will explain to you why Derma Roller is not a good choice. Derma Roller link.

First of all it's cheap.. and when I say cheap, this thing runs from $30-$50. Anything that is an 'at-home' skincare regimen or procedure should NEVER be cheap. You wear your skin every day!! It is an organ, you have to take care of it.

What I do with my Rodan + Fields AMP MD System, is roll my skin at least 4 times a week, and if I have a small blemish or feel one coming, I can apply the third step in Unblemish and by rolling over the blemish before, the treatment goes into my skin deeper. Even if I do/do not have a blemish on my skin I put the Night Renewing Serum after I roll my face. Seriously y'all.... this serum is SILK. Feels absolutely amazing! Not only are my acne scars gone, but my skin is more plump, smoother, and more radiant!
